This week I want to share two things that happened in my own life that brought the word ACTION to life for me.
First — the fun one.
Maya's graduation party is this Saturday. And if you want to know what creates action faster than anything else — it's a deadline. We had been working on our backyard for weeks. But the moment that party date was locked in, everything shifted. Suddenly “I’ll get to it eventually” became “let’s go — right now.”
Saturday is coming whether we were ready or not.
Now — the more personal one.
Last Friday I had a colonoscopy. I had been putting it off for years. My mother encouraged me. My adopted grandmothers urged me. I knew I needed it. I’ve had gut issues my whole life and somewhere in the back of my mind I always had this quiet fear that if something serious was going to get me — it would probably be colon cancer.
You would think that fear would have sent me running to the doctor.
Instead it kept me away.
I didn’t want to hear bad news. So I just... didn’t go.
Until I finally took action.
All clear. No polyps. No problems. And the relief I felt walking out of that procedure — I didn’t even realize how much weight I’d been carrying until it was gone.
Here’s what both of those stories have in common:
Nothing happened until there was a decision followed by action.
Not motivation. Not the perfect moment. Not feeling ready.
Just a decision. And then a move.
Today on our call I want to talk about exactly that — what actually gets people to take action on their health. And I want to hear from YOU.
What is the one health thing you’ve been putting off the longest? The appointment you haven’t booked. The habit you keep starting and stopping. The test you’ve been avoiding out of fear.
