Ash shafts
So I recently had to do a 3rivers order, anytime I have to order from the states I like to wait until theres multiple things I gotta grab at once due to border fees and high shipping rates. I couldnt get spruce shafts for my new montana here, so i decided to try ash. I ordered 70-75 lbs spine and when. I got these shafts I was a more than a little pissed off. Firstly, only half of them were the right spine. 5 were 66lbs spine and one was 64lbs. The next problem is the grain. These have got to be the worst shafts I have ever seen grain wise. The whole side is feathers. The grain on these make them unfit to hunt stumps.
Customer service at 3rivers asked for pictures so I sent them. The guy initially got on my nerves telling me the feathers dont mean grain runoff (like dude, thats literally what those are, the grain terminating at the edge) so I sent side pictures. They were really good about it and fully refunded me for the shafts, they told me that they are sorted by the company they buy them from and they've had problems before. They may stop carrying them. Too bad. They're heavy.
So if you were gonna try the ash from 3rivers, id warn you to save your money. Since sending the shafts back wasn't fiscally sensible I still have them. Ill try to straighten them but I doubt it will go well.
