I've worn MANY hats
Most of you really only know me for working in the tradeshow industry...which I love.
But my long time friends and co-workers know that I was also a Marketing Director.
My marketing journey started as a Business Development Coordinator, then Marketing Specialist, then Marketing Manager, then Marketing Director. I assume that's kind of a popular progression.
As a Marketing Director, my team and I were responsible for a plethora of projects. I'm sure I'm forgetting some of our initiatives, but some were:
  • Back cover magazine ads
  • Mailers
  • Product placement
  • New product launches
  • Website overhaul
  • New product box designs
  • Catalog placement
  • Social media marketing
  • Co-marketing partnerships
  • Press releases
  • Holiday promos
  • And, of course, we can't forget...tradeshows
I'm curious...how did you get into marketing? What was your progression? And what types of projects do/did you work on?
