💄 Welcome to the Makeup Masterclass Community! 💫
I’m so excited to have you here! This is your space to learn new techniques, get inspired, and connect with other makeup lovers and professionals. To get started, introduce yourself below with your name, where you’re from, and what you’re most excited to learn in this course. Let’s grow together and make this journey fun and supportive! 💋
Silicones vs. Water-Based Foundations
It’s basic chemistry: oil and water don’t mix. If you use a water-based moisturizer and a silicone-based foundation, the silicone will eventually "slip" off the water layer, causing separation on the nose and chin. Check your ingredients: Dimethicone = Silicone. Aqua = Water. Go check your makeup bag right now. Drop a comment below with your favorite primer and foundation combo—let’s audit them to see if they are chemically compatible!
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) & Humidity
HA acts like a sponge. If the air is dry (low humidity) and you don't seal the skin with a cream, HA will pull water out of your client's skin to hydrate itself, leaving them drier than before. Always seal it with an occlusive! What is your "Holy Grail" moisturizer for dry skin clients? Share the link or name below!

Imposter Syndrome is a Good Sign
Feeling like a "fraud" usually means you have high standards that your hands haven't caught up to yet. Reframe the anxiety: Instead of "I'm scared they'll find out I'm new," think "I care enough about this result to be nervous." What is ONE technique you feel nervous about doing on a client? (e.g., Winged liner, cut crease). Let's support each other.
