Brush Shapes
Marketing says you need 50 brushes. You really need 10. Synthetic bristles don't absorb product (great for creams); Natural hair has cuticles that pick up powder (great for blending shadows). If you could only use THREE brushes for a whole face, which ones would you pick?

I wold definitely pick my dual fibre brush for face, and eye blending brush, and a pointed powder brush. What about you?
Tax Write-offs
The government views your kit as "Supplies." Keep receipts for makeup, tissues, brush cleaner, website hosting, and even this Skool mentorship! It lowers your taxable income. Are you a "Shoebox of Receipts" person or a "Digital Scanner" person? Vote below!

I love to keep everything digital and I use Quickbooks online to help me keep track of my income and expenses, you can also use it to send invoices.
Detaching Ego from Criticism
When a client says "I don't like this lip," they aren't rejecting you. They are rejecting a colour. Treat it as data. Become a detective, not a victim. How do you handle it when a client asks for a change? Do you freeze up or dive in?

@Ruth Ouraga Great question, this is why when you feel the client is very picky or unsure, make sure you spend those extra 5 mins with her and really ask what she likes and doesn't like about the inspiration. Always make sure they show you pictures and go through every details. Do you like the brows, do you like the lip colour, do you like the eyeshadow colour , the blush, etc. This will give you a better idea on how to proceed. If for whatever reason she doesn't like it after, just kindly ask her what she doesn't like and to be as descriptive as possible. You'll start to understand how clients talk , so every appointment will refine your ear and you will get better at excecution.

@Ruth Ouraga my pleasure 😇
Powder Chemistry (Flashback)
Silica powder blurs pores beautifully, but it reflects light directly back at a camera flash, causing "ghost face." For flash photography, use Talc or Mica-based powders which absorb light better. Have you ever had a "flashback fail" in a photo? Tell us about it (or be brave and post the pic)!
