This would not be a surface level biography lesson.
- It would focus on:
- How systems protected injustice
- What Black resilience looks like after lost
- How grief becomes long term activism
- Why justice sometimes takes decades
The framing is trauma informed and agency centered. The focus is endurance, strategy, and institutional change.
Intended age group:
Ages 12 and up
Grades 7 through 12
Because the lesson discusses assassination and racial injustice, it is not designed for elementary students.
Before I build the full slide deck and materials, I would love to know:
- Would you enroll your student?
- Would you attend as a family session?
- Would you want this as a one time workshop or part of a short series on Black resilience?
Comment or message me if interested.
