🎓 GLP-1 MAINTENANCE: NOW WHAT? 🤔
One of the most common questions I get is:
"Once I reach my goal weight, what do I do with my GLP-1?"
The answer is: maintenance looks different for everyone! 💜
There are generally 3 approaches people use when transitioning into maintenance:
1️⃣ LOWER THE DOSE, KEEP WEEKLY INJECTIONS
This is often the smoothest option.
✅ More stable appetite control
✅ Less chance of hunger spikes
✅ May reduce side effects
✅ Uses less medication
Example:If you're taking a higher dose, you may gradually step down and find the lowest effective dose that helps maintain your results.
2️⃣ SPACE OUT YOUR INJECTIONS
Instead of lowering the dose, some people keep the same dose and increase the time between injections.
Examples:
📅 Every 10 days
📅 Every 14 days
📅 Every 2-3 weeks (for some individuals)
✅ Uses less medication
✅ Can save money
✅ Works well for some people
⚠️ The downside: Some individuals notice increased hunger or cravings as they get closer to their next injection.
3️⃣ STAY AT YOUR CURRENT DOSE
Some people continue their current dose during maintenance.
✅ Maximum appetite support
✅ Helps those who struggle with hunger or food noise
⚠️ However, it may be more medication than necessary for some individuals.

💡 WHAT MATTERS MOST?
Maintenance isn't just about the medication.
The real goal is building habits that help you maintain your results long-term:
🏋🏽‍♀️ Prioritize strength training
🥩 Eat adequate protein
💧 Stay hydrated
😴 Get quality sleep
🚶🏽‍♀️ Keep moving consistently
📏 Monitor your weight and measurements

🎯 MY RECOMMENDATION
Many people find success with:
➡️ Reaching their goal weight
➡️ Gradually lowering their dose
➡️ Continuing weekly injections
➡️ Monitoring hunger, cravings, and weight stability
Then, if everything remains stable, they may experiment with spacing injections further apart.
Remember: Maintenance is not failure. Maintenance is the goal. 💜
