When is a deal dead?
I spoke to an investor looking to sell his rental property for $250k, which is at market value. The tenant, who has lived there for 9 years, is moving to buy a house. The investor has owned the property for 18 years and has no loan on it. I plan to call him back tomorrow to discuss options. Given his asking price, I’m considering either listing the property or discussing seller financing. What do you do when a seller wants too much for their property, especially if they’re also in the REI business?
