Charity Balloon Art
I've been quiet lately because I was in the South China Sea on a Cruise with 200 Digital Nomads. I'm the only professional Balloon Artist at the conference, though, if you can believe that! The cruise ended in Manila, and we partnered with a charity that feeds and educates unhoused children in metro Manila. My business partner and I visited with some other Cruisers, and we made all the kids simple balloons (just swords, dogs, and flowers, since we didn't want to take too much time from their lessons) and it was such an amazing experience ❤️

Hired by a Cruise Line?
Has anyone ever looked into working on a cruise ship? Seems like it could be a sweet gig.
Your Opinion: Are Balloon Artists mean people?
Storytime!📖 🤡When I first started balloon twisting in Los Angeles, I worked at an outdoor mall alongside at least six other balloon artists. Competition was intense. One dude was particularly mean. He’d set up right next to me, blast music to drown me out, tell families not to come to my line, and even yelled at me in front of kids a few times. I was only 20, and that experience shaped how I saw the industry for years. 🎈For a long time, I kept my distance from other balloon artists. I assumed everyone was territorial and cutthroat, so I avoided them. But as the years went on, I met more and more artists who were generous, collaborative, and genuinely supportive of each other (shout out to Kenny the Clown! Some of you know who I mean, he's a joy). It completely changed my perspective. Now, I see how powerful it can be when creatives share ideas, refer gigs, and grow together instead of competing in isolation. 🐒I’m curious: What has your experience been with other balloon artists, more competition, more collaboration, or a mix of both? Tell me your story in the comments 👇
