I've been searching for an Executive Assistant with tech and implementation/project management skills forever, found the exact one, then lost him because he was poached due to a client (a major client) whose payment was late and still is—due to uncontrollable factors from banking restrictions in their respective industry. It sucks sometimes, but there's always that unicorn you fail to catch. On the bright side, there always has to be another.
The work, effort, and time that go into finding the right hire, along with the inherent risk of hiring the wrong person who seems to be the right fit, are always a factor, whether we like it or not.
Risks business owners need to deal with every day. Eh? 🤷🏻♂️
