Looking for alternatives to Lumpy Mail

Hey guys, I have a question for the people here who are already doing database reactivation / Sleeping Beauty.

Besides the Lumpy Mail strategy that is recommended in the community for getting bigger businesses to work with you, what other methods have you guys used to find partners?

I’m a student and I don’t really have the budget to send out a lot of those lumpy mails with the bottle + letter, so I’m trying to find a more low cost way to get in front of businesses that already have a big database.

For those of you who have already landed your first few partnerships, what would you recommend? Cold email, cold DM, networking, referrals, finding agencies to partner with, something else?

Would really appreciate hearing what actually worked for you guys, especially if you started with basically no budget.
