Anthropic has officially launched Claude Opus 4.6, their most powerful model to date, which is designed to handle complex, end to end professional workflows with much higher reliability.

The massive 1 million token context window means you can drop entire codebases or huge document sets into a single prompt without the model losing its place.
It now features "agent teams" in Claude Code so you can have multiple agents working in parallel on different parts of a project at the same time.
New adaptive thinking and effort controls allow you to choose how much "brain power" the model uses, helping you balance speed and cost for simpler tasks.
It discovered over 500 high severity security flaws in open source libraries during testing, proving it can handle deep, autonomous code review better than a human.
Maximum output has been doubled to 128k tokens, so it can write massive reports or full application files in one single go without cutting off.

💰 Standard API pricing stays at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens. For those giant 1 million token prompts, premium pricing of $10 per million input and $37.50 per million output applies to ensure the model stays accurate over massive datasets.
