ChatGPT Ads vs. Meta Andromeda
ChatGPT ads and Meta ads work very differently.
ChatGPT ads target the conversation.
They are shown based on what someone is actively asking, researching, or trying to solve.
Example:
“Why did my insurance rate increase?”
“Who is the best independent broker near me?”
“What insurance do I need when moving to Denver?”
That means ChatGPT ads are more focused on existing intent.
Meta’s Andromeda system targets predicted behavior.
It uses Facebook and Instagram activity, creative engagement, conversion data, and machine learning to decide who is most likely to respond.
Meta is less about what someone is asking right now and more about predicting:
“Who is most likely to care about this offer?”
The easiest way to understand it:
ChatGPT = intent capture
Meta = attention and demand creation
ChatGPT ads should feel helpful, specific, and connected to the problem being discussed.
Meta ads need stronger hooks, visual creative, emotion, and pattern interruption because the person was probably not actively searching.
For most businesses, the platforms should work together:
Meta creates awareness and familiarity.
ChatGPT captures people when they are actively looking for an answer or recommendation.
Same customer. Different moment in the buying journey.
