Converting to Ebook / File Size
Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm almost done with a few free printables to list on my book brand site (still under construction, hoping this next week it will go live), as well as my first book made into an Ebook. My question is, for those of you that have made your children's paperback book into an ebook, how did you keep your ebook file size low? What is an appropriate download size? I am thinking to go into photoshop and resize/optimize all backgrounds to lower res, but curious to see what y'all have done. Secondly, I'm not sure I understand exactly how to offer the ebook as a free download for limited time. Does that have to go thru Amazon KDP for free download or can I just link the book on my site ( sorry, newbie, be kind)..
