The $0 Demo Reel Landing Page: From Empty Folder to Live Site
Hey all, Just dropped a new lesson inside the ComposerOS course and I'm genuinely excited about this one. We build a proper composer demo reel landing page from scratch. Start: an empty folder. End: a live site on Netlify that anyone in the world can visit. Total cost: $0. No monthly fees. No backend. No framework. No build step. Here's the stack: - Plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No React, no Next, no Tailwind build chain. - WaveSurfer.js for interactive waveforms, so music supervisors can scrub through your cues. - Web3Forms for a working contact form, no backend required. - Netlify's free tier for hosting. Deployment is dead simple. Drag the folder into Netlify. The site goes live. That's it. Why this approach instead of Wix, Squarespace, or another builder? Speed. You own every pixel. Nothing to renew. Nothing to migrate later. The page loads instantly because there's nothing between the visitor and your music. And when a music supervisor lands on it, they hear your reel, see your story, and have a button to hire you. No extra clicks. No distractions. If you've been meaning to finally ship a real composer site, this is the walkthrough. → Watch the lesson: https://www.skool.com/audio-artist-academy/classroom/7a3929fb?md=98626aa945074592bee0470489208ee5 --- Two quick things while I have you: I'm still running a few private 1:1 coaching slots. Focused eyes on your portfolio, business, or whatever's stuck right now. Sessions start at $127. https://www.alexpfeffer.com/coaching And if your site already exists but feels off, I just launched a personal website audit service. Short Loom walkthrough, prioritized fix list, flat $27. https://www.alexpfeffer.com/audit --- Your music deserves a site that doesn't hold it back. Questions, drop them below. Cheerio, Alex

My First Placements!
Hey Everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far. Just wanted to share some news with you - I received a PRS payment this morning, and it turns out that I had my first sync placements last year! PRS has only just caught up, but my music was used on BBC Parliament as well as a couple of Romanian television channels. I've yet to find the actual placements (TuneSat is pulling nothing back at the moment), but I'll try to share them if I find them! As for the amount, it was by no means life-changing - but it was a very nice surprise this morning and covered the reasonably hefty car repair bill that I received yesterday! It's a start, and a real motivator to kick on and keep writing and releasing tracks across libraries of all different shapes and sizes. I'm also happy with the timings - the album launched last May (Q2 2025) and the placements came between July and September (Q3 2025). Obviously mileage varies, but it's nice to see that the tracks weren't sat idle for too long before they were used! Anyway, I hope this is a bit of reassurance for those of you releasing tracks and albums and waiting for the rewards to come back. Music admin is slow and takes time, so be patient and just keep writing! (Apologies to those who already saw this message in The Sync Circle, just wanted to circulate here too and say a huge thanks to @Alex Pfeffer for all of his continued support!)
Hi
Hi. I'm a composer from Sweden. I've been writing lib music for a while but haven't had a proper site about myself so I've enrolled the YT course.
