Today I took four trades: 2 losses and 2 wins. One loss I followed all my rules, and I was in a good emotional state. However, I did not follow my rules on the other three trades. My biggest fear was, “What if it goes against me?”
Even though some of those trades were winners, I was disappointed because they were not part of my plan. After having such a disciplined week, today reminded me that a winning trade can still be a bad trade if it breaks my rules. I keep asking myself, “What if it had gone against me?” The lesson is to focus on execution and discipline, not the outcome.
