The Orisha of the month is Oyá.

The Adimú of the month is an eggplant cut into nine pieces, sautéed in red palm oil, drizzled with honey, cover with colored sprinkles and offered to Oyá on a beautiful plate.

Place the plate in front of Oyá on a mat.

This month, the Eggun are at our doors. The ancestors, especially those who have passed away, are very present and active during this month. This is a month to honor them, listen carefully, and stay spiritually aware.

In this Odu, we are told that mountains connect us with Obatalá. If you have the opportunity to go to a mountain, large hill, or elevated place, go there and pray for your mind, your health, and your wisdom.

This is also a month where dreams may be very literal. If you dream of someone dying, do not dismiss it casually. Pay attention, pray, and take spiritual precautions.

This Odu also speaks about movement, relocation, and housing. If you are looking to move, relocate, or buy a home, this can be a good month to do so. If possible, look for a home that has water nearby.

Main Guidance, Warnings, and Spiritual Advice for June 2026

Take care of your mental and emotional health.This month carries warnings around sadness, depression, and heavy thoughts. Anyone who is already prone to depression or emotional heaviness should be extra intentional about rest, prayer, support, and self-care.

Be mindful of suicidal thoughts or self-destructive choices.This Odu speaks about suicide, but Baba also explained that this can be physical suicide or the way a person “kills” their own destiny through poor choices, harmful actions, or repeated self-sabotage. Be careful not to harm yourself, your Ori, or your destiny.

The ancestors are working to protect their children.This Odu speaks of ancestors saving their descendants from death. The Eggun are very active this month and may be working to protect us, guide us, and save us from danger — including danger we may create for ourselves.

Pregnant women should take precautions.This Odu speaks of possible issues around pregnancy. Any pregnant woman in the community should consider getting a reading with Baba Victor to make sure everything is spiritually aligned and that the pregnancy is protected from complications.

Those who have Warriors should check on Eleguá.Anyone who has received their Warriors, especially Eleguá, should make sure Eleguá is working well for them. This Odu specifically advises us to check that Eleguá is functioning properly on our behalf.

Family separation and emotional distance are highlighted.This Odu speaks of a time when you may have left your family physically, mentally, or emotionally. If you felt like your family did not miss you, this Odu says that is not true. Your family missed you very much, even if it was not expressed in the way you needed.

Do not work hard without being compensated.This Odu cautions against working very hard and not being paid properly for your labor. If you are giving too much, working too much, or being taken advantage of financially, this is a month to reassess the situation.

Parents should be cautious with their daughters.The Odu says to be careful because a daughter can bring danger to the parents. Parents should pay attention to the choices, relationships, behaviors, and surroundings of their daughters this month.

If you own a thunderstone, keep it with you this month.Those who have a thunderstone should keep it close as part of their spiritual protection and alignment.

Be careful with your partner’s family.If there is tension, jealousy, dislike, or discord between you and your partner’s family, be cautious. This Odu warns that harm or problems can come through the family of a partner.

Be careful with guns, knives, and weapons.Firearms, knives, and weapons can be dangerous in the home this month. Use extra caution, secure them properly, and avoid careless handling.

Avoid funerals if possible.This month we are advised not to attend funerals unless the person who passed was very close to you. If you must attend, take precautions: cover your head, carry cotton, cleanse yourself afterward, and change your clothes before bringing that energy back into your home.

Remove flowers from the home.Flowers can carry or invite the energy of funerals and death this month. If you have flowers in your home, the best thing is to remove them completely. If you do not want to throw them away, place them outside for the rest of the month.

Avoid love triangles involving family members.Do not date, pursue, or involve yourself with someone who is connected romantically to a cousin, sibling, relative, or family member. This can create unnecessary problems and spiritual complications.

Women should be careful not to become too controlling or dominating.This month, women may have a tendency to dominate, control, or overpower their partners. Be mindful of how you communicate, lead, and express frustration in relationships.

This is a good time for ancestor elevation.If you have an ancestor who needs elevation, this is the time to begin that work. Reach out to Afefe to be added to the schedule for ancestor elevation.

Use sugar cane as a staff to pray to Shangó.If you want to send prayers to Shangó, get a large sugar cane and use it like a staff. Pound it as you pray and speak to Shangó with your requests.

Get contracts and agreements in writing.Do not rely on verbal agreements this month. If you are entering into a business arrangement, financial agreement, work agreement, partnership, or contract, make sure everything is written down clearly.

Money may come through the countryside.This Odu says money can come by way of the countryside. If you have land, property, investments, or opportunities connected to the countryside or rural areas, it may become profitable.

This month is spiritually active. Oyá is moving, the ancestors are close, and the messages are direct. Pay attention to your dreams, your mental health, your family dynamics, your agreements, and your spiritual protections.
