Don’t fall into this entrepreneurship trap

I read this story in 2015 which changed my outlook on building a business….

Here it is:

Mike is a millionaire. He is very successful and has everything he's always dreamed of. His life is incredible.

Beautiful House? Yes.

Awesome car? Yes.

Beautiful wife and amazing kids? Absolutely.

However Mike wasn't always this rich and successful...

In fact, he used to STRUGGLE. 😖

It wasn't until one day that he decided to change his life. He wanted to become RICH! He finally had ENOUGH. He had reached the point when he said "Ive had it!". No more struggling. He wanted to make some money 🤑

He decided to start his own business. He worked night and day building his business.

It wasn't easy... it took a lot of hard work and he had to make a lot of sacrifices (something we all have to do to get ahead).

He desperately wanted to become rich... and sure enough, after years of hard work and sacrifice, he became a millionaire. 🏆

Mike was on top of the world. He had finally become rich!

He could buy anything he wanted. ❤️

He could have anything he desired. ❤️

BUT... there was only one problem.

While Mike was a millionaire and had made all of this money, he was actually MISERABLE.

Why?

Because Mike realised he had no FREEDOM.

In fact, Mike's life was total chaos. 😱

He was working 7 days a week and working nearly 14 hours a day... every day!

He was totally stressed and overwhelmed. 😱

"I'm making all of this money and have all of these nice things that I've always wanted... but I have NO TIME to enjoy them!"

While Mike's bank account grew, the other areas of his life declined.

His relationship with his wife and kids were rocky. He hardly had any time to spend with them.

His body was suffering. He gained so much weight and had no time to exercise. His diet wasn't very good to say the least. Fast foods and last minute take aways.

Emotionally, the stress was too much. Totally overwhelmed - lots of money but so much to do everyday!

The doctor said to him he needs to take time off from his business, and he needed to rest right NOW before something worse happens with his health.

Mike couldn't though. He was a slave to his business. His business depended on him and if he took any time away from it, then it would die.

On the surface, you might of thought, "Mike has a great life... look at all his wealth, his house, his cars, I want to be like Mike!"

But the TRUTH is, Mike doesn't even want his life anymore. 🤢

In fact, Mike said one day... "I would give it ALL UP today if I could have the ONE THING that I really want which is FREEDOM”

You see, you can't put a price on freedom. 🌍

What good is all of the money in the world, if you don't have the freedom to enjoy it?

Most people think, "I'm going to start a business so that I can have more free time, to be able to quit my job and have options!"

They get inspired and take MASSIVE ACTION 🔥

The world of an online businesses 🤩

The potential of life on their own terms 🤩

Soon, they start down the path like Miserable Millionaire Mike....

They do everything in their business. Afraid to let go....

Some people say things like “no one can do that task as good as me” or “I’m not ready to invest in a team” or “I’ve only just started”

What is the moral of this story? 🔑

Mike focused on BECOMING RICH when the real secret was BECOMING FREE FIRST....

Here’s a guiding principle that has guided me since 2015....

FIRST BECOME FREE, THEN BECOME RICH ‼️

Focus on SYSTEMISING YOUR BUSINESS ✅

Outsource and automate strategically as FAST AS YOU CAN ✅

Challenge your LIMITING BELIEF, yes you are ready ✅

How resourceful do you need to be? ✅

Find the way OR MAKE THE WAY ✅

Don’t become like Mike 😫

If you asked me “Hey Kev would you take £500,000 RIGHT NOW but you have to be the slave to the business working 80 hours a week because you HAVE TO or would you take £50,000 RIGHT NOW but you can have all the freedom you want to CHOOSE what you want to do?”

My answer every time..

I’ll take the £50,000 THANK YOU ✅ as I know with my freedom, with my goals of systemising, automating and team building I’ll be able to make £5,000,000.....it’s just a MATTER OF TIME ❤️
