I’ll be honest: I’m still unclear about a lot of things in my business.
The direction, the timing, the pace — all of it is still shifting.
But one thing did become very clear:
If I don’t make real changes, the status quo is not going to get me anywhere near my freedom number.
There's a question that kept looping in my head, since the beginning:
“How long until I reach my freedom target?”
I don’t know that answer yet.
But I realized I could answer something else:
“If I just keep doing what I’m doing right now, where does this path lead?”
It started as something I built for myself, because I wanted a straight answer to that one question.
It ties into something I once heard Hermozi say:
In a marathon, you know the distance and a rough finish time.
Entrepreneurship feels like the opposite. The directive is basically: “Run.”
Your mind fills in the rest:
How far? How long? Toward what?
There’s a beauty to that, but also a kind of mental drift that makes it hard to lead your business with intention.
Forecasting doesn’t solve everything. It just turns on a light in one corner of the path.
It shows you the shape of the road you’re currently on.
From there, the choices get clearer:
Do I keep running this way, or do I change the route?
So here’s what I’ll leave you with:
If you saw a 12-month projection of your current pace, no edits and no assumptions,
How would it feel to spot a sign that says “Dead End” long before you hit it 100 miles down the road?
How would it feel to see “Destination on the Horizon” before you decide to abandon this route and start over?
