As a new week begins, I’m hit with a word that I know many feel, especially in this time of year. I’ve been seeing it more and more. “Discouraged” The year draws to a close. Many are left feeling like they didn’t do enough. They didn’t achieve what they hoped. They have worked so hard for so little. They feel…discouraged. I’ll be honest, I’ve felt that multiple times throughout 2024. Know that you ain’t alone in it. BUT! You will be if you stay in it. If you have felt discouragement, how’d you overcome it? For me, I have found that the fastest way for me to pull out of it is by revisiting and practicing fundamentals in the area I’m feeling the discouragement. Business Family time Faith Health Etc. I hope y'all had a great turkey day. I'm curious though, does this time of year overwhelm you? What I have seen is for at least 90% of people it does, for entrepreneurs it's closer to 98%. I don't need to outline all the reasons why its overwhelming, you know, even if you wont admit it. Know that you are in good company. This is the time of year stress is at an all time high. Now is NOT the time to keep it to yourself. Now is the time to make it known. My hope is this can be a place to do that. Understand this isn't an invitation to "dump". It is an invitation to communicate the overwhelm and get support working through it if you want. I don't expect all the vulnerable nitty gritty details, just simply a "Yeah, I'm overwhelmed." Then we can take it from there. I know this is uncomfortable and probably feels weird, but I'm here for it, for you.
