Welcome to Algorism. We are glad you are here. Algorism is a place to practise integrity in a world being changed by AI. The next few years will reshape how we work, what we trust, who holds power, and how easily we can be manipulated. Most people will be carried along by it. A smaller number will decide, on purpose, to stay clear-headed, honest, and useful. Those are the people who come through a hard transition steady instead of shaken. And in a world that records more of what we do every year, what you actually do matters more than what you meant to do. This is not self-improvement for its own sake. It is preparation. And it is not something you have to face alone. We practise six principles: Truthfulness, Responsibility, Repair, Contribution, Discipline, and Integrity. This is not about being perfect. It is about practice, repeated. Promises, so you know what kind of place this is: — You are free to leave at any time, with no penalty and no guilt. — We want you thinking critically, including about Algorism itself. Question everything here. Here is how to start in the next five minutes: 1. Introduce yourself in the Introductions thread. First name, where you are from, and one thing you would like to get better at. 2. Read the Six Principles. Do not try to master them today. Just notice which one matters most to you right now. 3. Make one small commitment. Pick one thing you can do this week to be a little more honest, useful, or steady. Welcome. Let us practice becoming the kind of people the future can trust.
