How We Treat Each Other Here
Algorism is a place to practice integrity, which means this community should model it. A few simple expectations keep it that way: — Be honest, and be kind. Honesty without kindness is cruelty; kindness without honesty is flattery. We aim for the middle. — Critique ideas, never attack people. You can disagree hard and still treat someone with respect. — What is shared here stays here. People reflect honestly in this space. Protect that by keeping it private. — No selling, spamming, or self-promotion. This is a practice space, not a marketplace. — Assume good faith. Most people are trying. Give them room to. If something crosses a line, the team may step in, edit, or remove it. The goal is never to control the conversation. It is to protect the space so everyone can do the real work safely. And the standing promise: you are free to leave anytime and you are encouraged to question everything here, including Algorism itself.

Welcome to Algorism. We are glad you are here. Algorism is a place to practise integrity in a world being changed by AI. The next few years will reshape how we work, what we trust, who holds power, and how easily we can be manipulated. Most people will be carried along by it. A smaller number will decide, on purpose, to stay clear-headed, honest, and useful. Those are the people who come through a hard transition steady instead of shaken. And in a world that records more of what we do every year, what you actually do matters more than what you meant to do. This is not self-improvement for its own sake. It is preparation. And it is not something you have to face alone. We practise six principles: Truthfulness, Responsibility, Repair, Contribution, Discipline, and Integrity. This is not about being perfect. It is about practice, repeated. Promises, so you know what kind of place this is: — You are free to leave at any time, with no penalty and no guilt. — We want you thinking critically, including about Algorism itself. Question everything here. Here is how to start in the next five minutes: 1. Introduce yourself in the Introductions thread. First name, where you are from, and one thing you would like to get better at. 2. Read the Six Principles. Do not try to master them today. Just notice which one matters most to you right now. 3. Make one small commitment. Pick one thing you can do this week to be a little more honest, useful, or steady. Welcome. Let us practice becoming the kind of people the future can trust.

Welcome to Algorism.
Algorism is a community for people who want to live with integrity in a world being reshaped by artificial intelligence. The idea is simple. The technology around us is changing faster than anything in human history. We cannot control all of it. But we can control how we show up: how honest we are, how we treat people, whether we repair the harm we cause, and whether we keep improving. This community is where we practice that, together. We work through six simple principles, share what we are learning, and support each other in becoming people we are proud to be. You do not need any background in technology. You do not need to agree with everything. You just need to be willing to look honestly at yourself and keep moving in the right direction. Free to join. Free to leave anytime. No pressure, no dogma. In an age where our behavior increasingly leaves a permanent record, integrity is no longer optional. It is the thing worth building. https://algorism.org
