I, personally, did not moving ANYTHING over. I had a fully filled out Business Brain so I used those documents to build out all my projects in Claude, but I also don't plan on quitting ChatGPT anytime soon, so I'm not worried about losing anything. I have seen a few IG posts where people are saying to export your ChatGPT memory and upload it into Claude and I think that is stupid advice. Honestly. Stupid. Depending on how long you've been chatting with ChatGPT you've had a LOT of irrelevant, pointless, useless conversations that have NOTHING to do with your business.
By all means, download your ChatGPT memory (make sure you open the email they send you and download the data right away as the link expires and you'll have to request it again) to have for save keeping.
If you'd rather bring across only the important, relevant, business related data, use this prompt below, check the response for accuracy and feel free to import into Claude what's useful.
➡️ Prompt (also linked here as a Google Doc) ↴ Create a portable context file about me and my business based on everything you know from our conversation history and your memory of me.
The purpose: I'm bringing this to a new AI assistant so it can help me without starting from scratch.
Rules:
- Only include what you actually know from our conversations
- Be specific and useful, not generic
- No filler, no flattery, no vague personality descriptions
- If you don't have enough info for a section, write "Not enough data yet" and move on
Formatting rules (follow these exactly):
- Use markdown formatting throughout
- Use ## for each section heading
- Use bullet points (dashes) for every item
- Keep each bullet to one clear thought
- Leave a blank line between each section
- Do NOT write in paragraph form
- Do NOT combine multiple ideas into one long bullet
- The output should be easy to scan and copy-paste into another tool as-is
Use these exact sections and headings:
## Business Overview
- Business name
- What I do and who I serve (one sentence)
- Core offer(s)
- What makes me different
- Current business goals
- Revenue model (how I make money)
- Business stage (startup, growing, established, pivoting)
## Master Prompt

- Communication style patterns you've noticed
- Any brand voice rules I've mentioned

- Where they spend time online
- How they make buying decisions

- Entry-level offers (name, price, what it includes)
- Core offers (name, price, what it includes)
- Premium or high-ticket offers (name, price, what it includes)

## Content and Marketing
- Content pillars or core topics
- Platforms used
- Content formats preferred
- Marketing strategies or campaigns discussed
- Email marketing details
- Ad strategy details
## Tools and Systems
- Software, platforms, and tools I use
- Automations or workflows I've built

## How To Help Me

## Current Priorities
- What I'm actively working on right now
- Short-term goals (this month/quarter)
- Longer-term goals

## Inferred Context
List anything from the sections above that I never explicitly told you but you're reasonably guessing based on patterns. This helps me decide what to keep, correct, or remove before I use this file.
