How to Host Your Claude Artifacts Like a Pro (for Free!)

So you built something beautiful in Claude. A lead magnet. A sales page. A guide. A delivery doc for your offer.

And now you're like... okay, how do I actually get this in front of people?

Let me walk you through exactly what I do, because I spent a whole weekend building out branded artifacts and I want you to have the same setup.

There are two ways to share what Claude builds for you. One is fine. The other is better. Let me show you both.

🔹 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭: 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲

When Claude creates an artifact (that HTML thing that pops up on the right side of your screen), you can hit "Publish" and share the link.

This is the simplest way. Everything works. The links work. It looks great.

Here's what's nice about it:

✅ You can see how many people have viewed it

✅ Anyone can open it, they don't need a Claude account

✅ It takes about 10 seconds

Here's what's not so nice:

⚠️ There's a "Customize" button that lets anyone take your artifact and remix it

So if you built a tracker, a dashboard, a template that you WANT people to customize for themselves... this is actually perfect. Think fitness trackers, habit logs, goal planners. If you coach people on individual goals, steal this idea and run with it. Build a beautiful template and let your audience make it their own.

But if you built something branded that you don't want people copying your breakdowns, your branding, your content... keep reading.

🔹 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮: 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 (𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲)

This is what I use.

Netlify is a free hosting site where you can upload your HTML artifact and it becomes its own standalone webpage. No Claude border. No customize button. No one would even know it was built with AI unless you told them.

You just look hella professional.

And it's free. I have all of my lead magnets hosted in here on the free plan. It even shows you how many people have visited your page, which is cool.

➡️Here's the step by step.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭: 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁

In Claude, click the download button on your artifact. It'll save as an HTML file to your downloads folder. Claude names it for you automatically.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮: 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿

Go to your downloads. Create a new folder and name it something that describes your artifact. Use dashes instead of spaces (like lead-magnet-guide or sales-page-coaching).

Drag the HTML file into that folder.

Now open the folder and rename the HTML file to: 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅

That's it. Just the word index. This is important because Netlify needs the file named this way to display it properly.

Quick tip on the order here: download the file first, move it into your new folder, THEN rename it to index. If you rename it first and get interrupted, you've got a random file called "index" floating around your downloads and that's just chaos. 😅

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯: 𝗨𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆

Go to netlify.com and sign up for a free account.

When you get in, ignore all the fancy options. The bots, the templates, the upsells... we are not messing with any of that.

Click "Add New Project" on the dashboard, then scroll down to where it says "Upload your project files."

Choose the folder you just created. Click upload. Done.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰: 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁

Netlify will give it a random name. Click "Quick Setup" and rename it to whatever you want. Be mindful here because this becomes part of your web address.

Your link will look like: your-name.netlify.app

So make it clean and easy to remember... k?

It'll ask you about custom domains and password protection. Custom domain means connecting your own website URL. Password protection is a paid feature. I don't use either. Just click "Finish Later."

And that's it. Your link is live. Your artifact is hosted. It's yours.

🔹 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀: 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲

If your lead magnet includes a downloadable file (like a skill, a zip file, a PDF), host that file inside Google Drive and link to it from your artifact.

Why? Because every time you update the file in Google Drive, the link stays the same.

So if you improve your skill or tweak your lead magnet, everyone automatically gets the latest version without you having to send a new link or build a new campaign.

I do this for everything. One link. Always current. No extra work.

🔹 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

This isn't just about lead magnets. You can host anything you build in Claude this way.

Sales pages, service guides, onboarding docs, delivery pages for your digital products. You could build your entire web presence this way if you wanted to. No Squarespace. No monthly fee. Just Claude + Netlify.

All your links work. Everything is branded. And no one knows it was built with AI unless you tell them.

🔹 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽

1️⃣ Build your artifact in Claude (with your context loaded so it's actually good)

2️⃣ Download the HTML file

3️⃣ Create a folder, move the file in, rename it to index

4️⃣ Upload the folder to Netlify

5️⃣ Name your project and grab your link

6️⃣ Host any downloadable files in Google Drive so updates happen automatically

That's the whole process.
