But sometimes the money is already sitting in a conversation you started and never finished. That is the leak. The person who said, “Send me the information.” The person who asked, “What do you do again?” The person who told you, “Let’s talk next week.” The person you met at an event. The person who liked your post but never got a message from you. The person who already trusted you, but you never invited them into the next step. Follow-up is not begging. Follow-up is leadership. Follow up with value first Send them a resource, idea, referral, event, video, article, tool, or reminder that connects to something they once told you. People remember who pays attention. Example: “I remembered you mentioned wanting to get more organized with your business. I saw this and thought it may help.” 3. Create a “because of our last conversation” message This makes the follow-up feel connected, not random. Example: “Because of our last conversation, I thought this could help you take the next step.” That one sentence turns a cold follow-up into a warm continuation.
