Been building agent-based automations for a while now, and the difference between something that impresses people in a demo versus something that actually runs in production usually comes down to three things: 1. It logs what it did. Not just "success," but the actual decisions made along the way, so if something goes wrong later, you're not guessing. 2. It has a human checkpoint. Somewhere in the flow, there's a moment where a person can catch and correct before things go too far. 3. It's built around one real bottleneck, not everything at once. The best automations I've shipped started narrow, one specific task nailed properly, before expanding to anything bigger. Most failed automation projects I've seen (or been asked to fix afterward) skipped one of these three. If you're a small business owner or building something for clients and you're not sure whether your setup has these in place, happy to take a look and give honest feedback, sometimes it's a quick fix, sometimes it needs a rebuild. Either way, better to know now than after it breaks on a client.
