Give your sample a short introduction: “This is a [deliverable] for [business type]. It uses [source material]. The goal is [one action].” Then show the work. For fictional samples, say so up front. Keep them separate from paid client work. Write that introduction for the sample you’ve been building.

Before calling a sample finished, check: • The file opens • Links work • Placeholder text is gone • Missing facts are clearly marked • The next step is obvious For an email draft, separate the subject line from the body. What would make your sample easier for someone else to use?
