3.4.26 ~ Wednesday Reflection & Prayer
This morning I took a walk down to Lake Ronkonkoma, just a short distance from my home here on Long Island.
It’s one of those simple places that reminds you how much beauty is right in our own backyard.
There are picnic tables scattered under the trees, a playground where children laugh in the warmer months, and beach chairs where people sit quietly watching the water. The lake is calm this morning, and across the way you can see a few fishermen already casting their lines — patient, peaceful, simply enjoying the moment.
Today is going to be warmer than it has been lately, and I’m grateful for that small gift of sunshine.
The forecast says several days of rain are coming, but this morning… the air feels gentle and hopeful.
It reminded me of something important.
Life often comes in seasons like this.
A little sunshine.
Then a stretch of rain.
But both are necessary.
The sunshine warms us.
The rain nourishes what is growing beneath the surface.
Sometimes we don’t realize that the quiet, rainy seasons of life are actually preparing something beautiful.
So this morning, sitting here by the lake with my coffee, I’m reminded to slow down… breathe… and simply trust the rhythm God has created. Even when clouds are coming, His peace remains steady.
And that peace is always available when we pause long enough to receive it.
🙏 PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the quiet places where we can hear You more clearly.
Thank You for the sunshine that warms our hearts and for the rain that helps us grow.
Remind us today that every season has a purpose. Help us to trust Your timing and rest in Your peace.
May our minds be calm, our hearts be grateful, and our spirits remain open to the beauty You place around us every day.
And Lord, bless each person reading this today. Where there is worry, bring peace. Where there is loneliness, bring comfort. Where there is uncertainty, bring gentle reassurance that You are guiding every step.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen. 🙏
Until tomorrow, may you feel useful, connected, and hopeful—and remember, you are never alone.
With love,
Grandma Grady 💛
