WEDNESDAY ~ ENDURANCE, HOPE & GOD’S STRENGTH
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the storm…it’s how long it lasts.
This morning more snow is falling — on top of the 30 inches we already received during the blizzard a couple of days ago.
I think many of us are feeling it now.
The excitement of a storm has long passed, and what remains is the inconvenience, the delays, the feeling of being stuck, and the longing for sunshine and spring.
Every morning my daughter calls me and we plan our day together. Today I could hear the tiredness in her voice. She had to cancel two appointments again, and she has already postponed at least four important doctor visits that need to happen before she meets with her surgeon next week for her follow-up after surgery a week ago.
When circumstances keep getting pushed back, it can wear on your spirit.
I know many people are feeling the same way right now — cabin fever, discouragement, even Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) that comes from too much gray and not enough sunlight.
Winter can feel heavy.
But seasons do change.
Even when we can’t see it yet… spring is still coming.
God never forgets to bring new seasons.
🌿 REFLECTION
Where might you need extra strength and patience right now?
Endurance is not about pretending everything is fine.
It's about trusting that what you’re experiencing is temporary — and that brighter days are ahead.
Sometimes hope is simply choosing to believe that this season will pass.
🙏 PRAYER
Father God,
Today we come to You needing strength.
For those feeling tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed by circumstances that seem to drag on longer than expected — please bring comfort and renewal.
For those dealing with health concerns, delayed appointments, uncertainty, and waiting — please provide peace and reassurance.
For those experiencing emotional heaviness, loneliness, or seasonal depression — please bring light into their hearts where darkness has settled.
Lord, we ask for protection over our loved ones, healing over those recovering from surgery, and guidance for doctors and medical decisions ahead.
Remind us that this season is not permanent.
Remind us that warmth will return.
Remind us that You are present even in long winters.
Fill our homes with peace.
Fill our minds with hope.
Fill our bodies with renewed strength.
And help us trust that better days are already on the way.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen. 🙏
Until tomorrow, may you feel useful, connected, and hopeful—and remember, you are never alone.
With love,
Grandma Grady 💛
