The AFR Method: Reset → Rebuild → Perform
Most people don’t fail because they’re lazy. They fail because they’re doing the right things in the wrong order. When knees hurt, feel unstable, or stop tolerating load, most people respond by: - Stretching harder - Strengthening more aggressively - Avoiding positions that feel “dangerous” It might help temporarily, but the problem keeps coming back. That’s because strength doesn’t fix compromised tissue it just overloads it. That's why so many capable people feel frustrated, cautious, or older than they should in the gym. The AFR Method exists to solve that. Phase 1: RESET This is where everything starts. Over time, stress, posture, training history, and lifestyle change how tissue behaves. It stiffens, it loses glide, and it stops adapting. Reset restores tissue quality and joint capacity so your knees can accept force again. This is not stretching, this is teaching your body that it’s safe to let go. Phase 2: REBUILD Once tissue can move, strength must be re-educated. Rebuild restores: - Clean ranges of motion - Control through depth - Confidence under load This is where weak links get addressed without aggravating the joint. Strength comes back without compensation. Phase 3: PERFORM Performance is earned, not forced. Once tissue and strength are restored, we integrate: - Power - Speed - Athletic intent This is where you stop thinking about your knees and start trusting your body again, in the gym and in life. Why Order Matters? Most programs start at Rebuild or Perform. That’s why people plateau, flare up, or regress. In AFR: Reset creates capacity Rebuild creates resilience Perform creates confidence Skip steps, and your body compensates. Compensations become pain. Pain becomes limitation.
