The 'Just Add More Content' Fallacy
I see this advice everywhere. 'Just add a huge FAQ! Write a 3000-word blog post!'
This is a fundamental misunderstanding of how Answer Engines work.
They don't want a novel. They want structured, clear, verifiable data.
A messy, bloated page is actually *harder* for an AI to parse. It introduces noise and potential contradictions. It's not about *more* content; it's about *clearer* and *better structured* content.
Think facts, data, and direct statements. Not words for the sake of filler or to hit some arbitrary word / character count. That's absolutely, positively ABSURD!
Have you ever bloated a page with content just to hit a word count or stuff keywords? If so, you're not alone! I've been there and in years past, I thought that was the way! But now we've learned better -- or at least we should have!
