You Need To Know Your 3 P's No Matter Your Role
Whether you're a community owner, supportive role, or a service provider for communities, you need to know your 3 P's. Why? Because it will help you with conversions or help you get paid your worth.
The 3 P's are Promise, Proof, & Plan.
Promise needs to be tangible. It can't be something like "feel supported", because that will change based on each person's perspective of what support feels like.. and *shakes head side to side* you do not want to be responsible for fulfilling that promise.
Proof is if you've done it for yourself or others. That's why I say to track it all. If you're an owner track everything before and after you make changes. Track what your members say is their current situation then after your help. Supportive roles & Service Providers you want to track everything you can see and ask the owners/clients questions to establish the start point and track how it improves with your help. The more tangible results the better. You also get to include pain points in this part, which will help the reader know it's for them. Pain points/problems that went through plan got this promise and this is how it feels to have desired outcome = Proof
Plan is how you are going to do that. Owners this is where you put details on your offer and how it'll help. Supportive Roles this is where you identify the tasks you can and will do for the owners. Bonus points if you can tell them why it's important. Service providers this is where you say how they get the service, what it helps, and expected completion time frame. The plan should be clear enough and cut out the fluff. If you rely on ChatGPT to put "What's inside" or explain the details, you will not stand out and will be just another person with a "Resource Library" or "Proven Roadmap".
Community Owners:
If you are an owner, then this is what you'd put on your about page and you'd want to know this clearly for when you're having conversations with others. A potential member should be able to look at or hear your 3 P's and go "Yes! That is what I need." without needing to investigate further to understand what you offer.
Supportive Roles:
Use the 3 P's to establish an offer to community owners. Why do they want your help? What do they get out of your help? Why is it worth paying you? You need to be able to answer these before they think to ask them. It will help you in pitching the idea of your help, but also show your worth when you settle on a price. The tracking will help with check ins to prove you're still worth paying. The "ROI" of your help. (Having the Role Clarity Checklist can help you define what tasks you can do and what you might want to work on btw.)
Service Providers:
Knowing your 3 P's will help create the offer and help you identify the client's pain points. Finding the promise for them is going to help them identify their need for your service. Knowing the proof will help them realize it overcomes their pain points and how others or yourself feel after getting the results. Meaning they can get there too. Then the plan allows them to see the process and how long it'll take. How much will they need to be involved and when can they expect the result. I won't pay for a service if I don't know the turnaround, because I might need it by a certain date.
Do you know your 3 P's or are you working on creating them?
👇 Share them with us or what you're trying to work on and read someone else's to see if you can help them. Together we can make sure we are being clear on the value of our help.
I know my 3 P's
...I'll start working on them right now
This was long and I didn't read it.
