What To Do When Skool Flags a High Risk Member ⚠️
Have you seen this on a membership request? ⚠️ SPAM RISK SCORE: HIGH If you've been wondering what "SPAM RISK SCORE: HIGH" means in Skool or what you're supposed to do when you see it, this video walks through exactly how I handle those membership requests. I use Auto Approve in my communities, so the only membership requests I have to manually review are the ones Skool's AutoMod flags as High Risk. In the video, I walk through my entire process. The first thing I do is start looking for anything that doesn't add up. Sometimes the location doesn't match. Sometimes their profile activity is just copy and pasted "Hello everyone, I'm new here" posts across multiple communities. Sometimes the messages are the typical spam conversation starters that don't feel genuine. None of those things by themselves prove someone is a spammer. I'm simply looking at the signals available to help me decide whether I want that person in my community. If I'm confident it's a fake account or spammer, I report the account and ban it. The reporting part is important because it helps Skool review the account. Banning also keeps that same account from sending another membership request to your community. According to Skool's Help Docs, AutoMod looks at multiple signals to identify High Risk users. That's why I don't ignore the SPAM RISK SCORE: HIGH warning. I take a minute to review the account before making a decision. AutoMod catches a lot, but nothing catches everything. I also have posting and chat restricted for new members because every once in a while a spam account will still get through. Hopefully seeing my process gives you a better idea of what to look for the next time you see SPAM RISK SCORE: HIGH on a Skool membership request. Have you had AutoMod flag any High Risk members yet? What patterns have you noticed?

Great post Jenna 👍🏾 Would you agree that this problem is one that is mostly affected by (but not limited) free and freemium groups?

What Happens When You Hide a Tab in Your Skool Community (One Exception)
Most Skool community owners assume that turning off a tab makes it completely inaccessible. That isn't always the case. In this video, I show you what actually happens when you hide the Classroom, Calendar, and Map tabs, which ones members can still access if they know the URL, and the one exception that even some experienced Skool users don't know about. You'll see how direct URLs work for hidden tabs, why hiding a tab doesn't always hide the content behind it, and how this can actually be used to your advantage while building your community. I also explain why the Map tab behaves differently. Even if someone manually enters the Map URL, member location data remains protected when the Map is disabled. Understanding this difference can help you make better decisions about privacy, security, and community organization. This is especially helpful if you're: - Building your Classroom before launching it - Reducing overwhelm by hiding navigation tabs - Organizing lessons, events, and resources - Wanting to tailor what you create for your community members - Making sure your content stays protected before making it available If you're creating a Skool community, this is one of those small details that can save you a lot of confusion later. Did you already know about this, or did anything surprise you? If you have a question about Skool or there's a feature you'd like me to show more in-depth, let me know in the comments! As always, if you'd like to support the channel, head over to YouTube, give this video a like, leave a comment, subscribe for more Skool tutorials, and share it with another Skool owner. It helps YouTube recommend this video to more people, and it really helps support the channel. Thanks so much! 🫶
