At 13, Jeff Rasmussen was struggling with ADHD, school and fears about his future. He often felt misunderstood, discouraged and alone.
When he realized there was little online written by kids with ADHD for other kids, he created ADHDKidsRock.com—a place for kids to share their experiences and for parents and teachers to better understand ADHD.
Building the community changed Jeff’s life. With support from his parents, and through helping others, he began to understand himself. Once understood, he could be his best self and thrive in environments where he could be himself.
Today, Jeff is 27, married, expecting his first baby, a certified Red Seal Millwright and a homeowner.
Fourteen years after this video was created, Jeff and his mom are sharing the journey again so more children can receive the understanding and support they need. Much has changed, but too many kids with ADHD are still needlessly struggling.
If your child is one of them, you are in the right place.
