First IRL meet up complete ✅ 🐕 🐾
The rain didn’t scare us folks away! So nice to go for a walk around Townsite with Ivy, Anna, Tilly and their humans this afternoon. All 4 girls did great walking along together, and Juni even earned a short play with Tilly and even Ivy. (1 on 1 play for the win!) Looking forward to the October meetup and hopefully to meet some more folks and pups 🐶 Thanks for organizing & starting this up, Maren!

🍂 Qathet September Meetup – IRL! 🐾
🌅🌲 Powell River / qathet Area Locals Thread! 🐾
Hey everyone! I know there are quite a few of us here living in the Powell River / qathet area, so I thought it’d be great to have our own little corner to connect. Whether you're new to the area or have been here for years, this is a space to say hi, get to know one another, and maybe even plan some meetups—dog walks, hikes, paddles, coffee chats, you name it! If you haven’t already introduced yourself in the main intro thread, feel free to do that here instead—just let us know a bit about you and your dog(s)! And from there, let’s chat about local trails, training ideas, favourite spots, and maybe even find some great trail buddies or walking groups 🐕🌿 Looking forward to meeting more of you fellow locals!

*Locals* Can you help Harry and Laurie?
@Laurie Skinner Copied from her post here: Hello - dog lovers I have an issue currently with my physical ability to take my 11 month old dog(90+lbs)out for hikes. He is a naturally strong puller (parents are used in CaniCross) im headed to Vancouver next week to have my hip and shoulder looked at. Both injuries are debilitating therefore making it tough to even do trail walks. I’m reaching out to any experienced owners with balanced dogs (Harry) is intact & very social. He has a beautiful playful temperament. I am mindful that he runs trails either vigor but has been extremely great checking in - I find using a leash with him very difficult as he constantly pulls ( as what he believes his work- To Pull) My rotator cuff, can not handle much more correcting and I feel like I’m letting him down not going off the property now. I need my hip replaced sooner than later. I’m wondering if there’s anyone interested ( possibly with fenced acreage) that they could have Harry “play “ with their dog Or take him to an open play field or trail I think an introduction is the first goal And I am very open to host dogs in my yard to begin the introductions ( I live in Wildwood) thank you for any considerations !
