Let's get, STARTED!!!!!
🚀PART 0: My story
I feel what YOU, as a business owner with a lack of discipline, feels man. Trust me, I've been there as well. I used to be a guy who kept on switching business models and never found something that suited me (until now lol).
But I always wanted to see fast results and fast money. But it was after I realised that the only reason I wasn’t making money was not because of the business model, it was not because of the fact I wasn’t willing to put in the hours. Nahhh, I was working 24/7.
The single reason WHY I didn’t make a dime in business for over 13 months was simply because of my mindset.
I used to think that business was easy and therefore expected fast results. Which could be decent, but in this case it left me feeling super unmotivated as soon as I didn’t see results.
I started building in June 2024, I started building on my bricks (my mindset).
I started to meditate, journal, be present, level up in life etc.
And guess what. Here we are now, making money with a coaching business that I FCKING LOVE!!!!
It isn’t about the business model, it isn’t about your work ethic, it is all about your beliefs and your mindset.
❓PART 1: Why is mindset so important in our lives, but also in our business?
The first reason why mindset is so damn important is because it builds the fundamental to having a good life and good health (and yes, also a good business). The reason for this is because a strong mind = a strong body, a strong business, a strong whatever you need. If you have a strong mindset, it is way easier to build on this.
Let me give you an example of what I mean with this. You have to see your mind as a brick that you use to build a building (your assets like your body, business, sports, social skills etc). Every time that you get more bricks, so improve your mindset, the stronger the bottom and the core of the building will be. This way you can build wayyy more of these assets on top of the bricks.
You have to see you as a building. The wider, the stronger, the more sustainable the core is (in this case your mindset), the more you can build on top of that (body, business, social skills etc).
All of this means that if we have such a strong core, such a strong mindset, we are wayy more likely to be strong in other areas, because the core we can build on is strong, wide, sustainable, so we can build strong, wide and sustainable assets ON that.
The second reason we want to improve our mindset is because it builds us discipline, and therefore we are wayyy more likely to work hard to our goals and actually achieve them.
The single quote that explains discipline is:
‘’Do the hard work, especially when you don’t feel like it.’’ ~Hamza Ahmed
And when you have eventually built such a sustainable core (mindset), you are way stronger when it comes down to resisting things, making the right decisions, not listening to any judgement, and also overcoming fears.
The main reason we want to build a strong mind is in order to never give up on our dreams and our goals.
We want to make sure that we never regret the fact that we gave up. I rather die trying, than not trying at all.
Like mentioned before. You can build SOOOO much on a strong mind, you can build your entire business, your physical shape, your relationships with others, your skills in real life, but also destroy fears
The next step in order to make this change a reality is…
🦾PART 2: How to BUILD a strong mindset?
This first and most un-sexy thing is by doing things you don’t want to do. It is about doing the tasks that you have been pushing back, the tasks that you extremely hate, and doing them FIRST!!!!
There is no secret little trick that will help you, it all comes down to your discipline and how bad you actually want it in life. Okay?
F, I was hoping for a secret trick, nope, sorry. You need to keep doing the actions that you don’t want to do every, single, fcking, DAY!
But, I do have an amazing tip for you that helped me back in the day. I wasn’t focussing on meditating every single day for 10 minutes, or doing a full workout every single day. No, I was focussing on doing one mindful breath, one pushup.
You see, ofc you get faster progress in the gym when you do a full workout instead of one push up. But like I mentioned before, we need to build on that strong core (that mindset), to actually put in the consistent full workouts.
Therefore I was focussing on slowly building it, and not trying to START and skip a few days, no. I rather take small steps EVERYDAY, then one big step a day and then not doing anything the next day.
This way your mind gets into the winning streak of actually being positive. And that is exactly what you need. You need to train your mind the same way you do it physically. If you keep on feeding your mind with positive results and wins, you will get used to that activity and eventually like it.
And now this is where you need to up your games okay. Once you start liking an activity, you have to start doing 2 pushups or 2 breaths a day. The reason for this is because now you are not building willpower. Will power is built when you do things you don’t want to do and that you don’t like.
In order to keep growing ourselves, we need to keep building will power. Once something gets to the point that you like it, step up and make sure you don’t like it anymore.
Alright, that’s set. Now, we need to take some actionable steps there. Let me tell you things I do on a day to day basis to train my mind.
The first thing is meditation. In this modern world, it is so damn easy to just relax and do nothing. Which is cool, but we say that we relax ourselves by scrolling and watching dumb content. This way your brain never gets the chance to fully relax and be present.
I leverage meditation to come back to myself and focus on what truly matters in life. I don’t do this for the sake of meditating and focus on my breathing, no, I do this because it is boring.
Yes, boring. Meditating is pretty boring, especially in the world of business where things move around quickly. But by doing this that are boring, you train your dopamine receptors to be less reactive to stimulation.
And another thing I do, that can be a bit boring, is reading. Also a very low stimulating activity to train the mind.
When you actually do these boring activities, you will also find it wayy easier to work long hours without getting angry and being frustrated because things don’t go as you want.
So, action steps for you right now:
  • Start reading
  • Start meditating
Start doing the boring habits okay.
Now, we actually need to move the needle forward every single day. But how? How do we ensure that we take action every day without falling off?
It is simple, and just like mentioned before. Take small actions like one pushup every day. But the most important part is that you need to change your beliefs about what is required to feel like you pushed the needle forward. This all has to do with seeing progress from day to day and not looking at the big picture.
You know, I am a big fan of only reviewing myself, my business, fitness, or mindset journey after a couple of months and then looking back. Now this is a very good strategy. But an even better strategy is by reflecting and journaling every single day about what you did that day. This way you see on paper what you did and you can see where to improve the next day.
Now back to the part where you have to be okay with the small steps. If you feel like 3 workouts of 1 hour each is the only way that the needle moves forward (which in fact is the most effective way), then you are doing something wrong. Look, 3 workouts a day will get you way quicker progress, but it will make you appreciate yourself less when you only did 2 workouts in a day.
It is about saying to yourself that just one workout will already push the needle forward and therefore you will be way more happy when it comes down to actually moving the needle forward.
Damn, that’s a lot to take in, no worries man, here's a small summary:
  • Do boring things like meditation and reading to train your dopamine receptors and to work longer and more effectively WITH joy.
  • Be okay with small actions that move the needle forward to keep the momentum going and build up that win streak.
These were the most important parts, now let's go to the last part…
🌍PART 3: How the world actually looks like with a strong mindset
Fcking beautiful man, hahaha. Yeah bro, it is soo fcking beautifull when you actually improve that mindset and become more present.
Once you got the mindset in place, you will start noticing that other areas in life are also going to improve. For me, when I just improved my mindset, my business went better, my work ethic was on point, my physique was awesome. Life was just amazing man!
Once you build a strong mindset, you will notice that you always are there to strive, and therefore you are wayyy less likely to give up on the things you’re working on. I gave up a lot of things back in the day, then it was the drive to learn, then it was football that I quit. Most things I know I would’ve never done if I
I just had a better mindset.
One of the reasons you need a strong mindset is to make sure you never regret your decisions in the present in the future. And therefore you WILL chase your goals and make sure you always strive to achieve them.
The second reason why you need that strong mindset is to be immune against all the people that will doubt you. Trust me, back in the day, 1200 people in my highschool found out about my YouTube channel. In that period I was talking about self-improvement alot and was stuttering alot. But eventually it got to my head and I quit. And bro, this was already after training my mind for a year straight. So that just shows how fcking strong you mentally have to be in order to be immune.
Now I don’t care what people think about me. This is because I just KNOW that I am doing better then these people, how arrogant that might sound. You need to have some sort of arrogance where you truly believe that you are on the right track and all these other people are not. And be truly confident that YOU will make it no matter what.
Social pressure is one of the hardest things someone can face, and the only way you can solve this is by making sure you are becoming immune to it. And this is being built by following EVERYTHING I mentioned above.
And some other things you will also achieve when you improve your mind(set) is that you will be more likely to enjoy the small things in life like work, and therefore you actually start to achieve things because you are now getting in the ‘’flow’’ with work wayyy easier!
Another thing is that you will actually focus on what really matters in life. Purpose. Because of the mental clarity it is wayy easier to think and think about what you truly want and enjoy doing in life.
For me this was coaching people on signing their first few clients. The satisfaction I get from working and seeing my own results, but also the results of others that I helped feels soo fcking good. So good to the point that I just know that I can do this for the rest of my life.
You made it bro, you read till the end! Comment ‘’MENTAL’’ so I can see who actually took the time to read this valuable guide!
It took me 3 hours to write this guide!
Now the question is. What do you truly want in life? Comment that down below.
I’ll see you in the next one!
Adios!
