One of the reasons so many people struggle with biblical submission is because they have only seen leadership expressed through control, selfishness, or manipulation.
But when Scripture talks about marriage, the picture it gives is completely different.
Healthy biblical leadership is rooted in love, sacrifice, protection, and honor. Jesus never led through fear or domination. He laid His life down for His people. That is the model Scripture gives for relationships.
When trust is present, submission no longer becomes about losing a voice or becoming less valuable. It becomes the willingness to honor and trust someone who genuinely desires your good.
This principle applies far beyond marriage. Every healthy relationship requires humility, trust, honor, and the willingness to care about others instead of living completely for ourselves.
The world teaches people to protect themselves at all costs. The kingdom teaches us to love one another deeply and walk in mutual honor.
When relationships are rooted in Christlike love, safety and trust begin to grow naturally.
