Hungry for More
Jesus said: “Blessed are the poor in spirit…” (Matthew 5:3)
That means living with a constant awareness that we are completely dependent on Him.
He also said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…” (Matthew 5:6)
There is a connection between hunger and being filled.
If we are not hungry for Him, we will fill our lives with other things. But if we truly pursue Him, He promises to satisfy.
Jesus told the woman at the well: “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.” (John 4:14)
Only He can truly satisfy the soul.
Today, take a moment and consider this:
Am I living dependent on God, or just trying to manage life on my own?
