This weekend I finally got around to editing my visit to The Box in Plymouth. 🥳🥳🥳
For those who don’t know, I studied Illustration and Printmaking at the University of Plymouth, so spending time in the city always feels a little nostalgic. Plymouth is a place shaped by the sea, and you can feel that maritime connection woven throughout the museum and galleries. 🙌🏻
What I loved most wasn’t any one exhibit. It was the feeling of the place. The quiet hum of people exploring, the giant etched artwork stretching across the wall, the stories waiting around every corner, and that gentle reminder that creativity doesn’t always come from making.
Sometimes creativity comes from looking.👀
From noticing.
From filling your cultural cup so that later, when you sit down with a sketchbook, journal, camera or paintbrush, you have something new to pour out. 🙌🏻💜
I’d love to know… where do you go when you need a little creative refill? ☕🎨
Smidgen of Calm really does feel like a little pocket of safety on the internet, and I’m grateful we get to share these little adventures together. ❤️
