This week i have received nothing but unsuccessful job applications to 5 applications. Sigh. It is very much deflating my motivation. I have been trying to keep the connections and 'reposts with my thoughts going'- that i am feeling the struggle is too real.

@Chris Coppeller Thankyou for this advice. I will start with the top 3 - Suncorp Group, Bank of Queensland and Westpac. As for recruitment, Robert Walters, Michael Page and PRA will be whom i reach out to. I also didn't think about how they structure their recruitment. Good point. I'll search that one up, but hopefully some of the recruiters can advise me on that one. else, could i just ask Chat? Or drop a note on their page?

Ok, so i have definitely been working on engaging in content and trying to post more. I have seen a big change in the number of profile impressions and people who are viewing my profile. I have decided to start with reposting content with my thoughts that i find useful or relevant to my personal interests/ profession. In summary i am up from about 400 to 429 connections, i am seeing my posts are are getting more impressions, and i can see that my followers are increasing. @Chris Coppeller I don't really understand how to interpret all the LinkedIn analytics very well- perhaps you can explain the right metrics to review.

As for my actions for the week last week they were : 1. Identify big players - Done : Suncorp, BOQ, and Westpac are my targets ; i am following the pages, and made some connections with people in this space. 2. Identify recruiters in Banking/Finance Projects/Delivery space- I have found Robert Walters, Michael Page, and PRA. 3. Connect/ start an initial conversation - I have 2x phone calls to PRA and Robert Walters, and enlisted my name and resume with them.

What’s something you do in your weekly schedule that helps you recharge from work or the job hunt? 💪 Gym or exercise 🍳 Cooking 🌿 Getting outdoors 🤝 Catching up with friends It could be anything that leaves you feeling refreshed, recharged, or exhilarated. ✅ And have you done it this week (or something similar)?

Actually mine is visiting my parents. It's really satisfying to know they are well and happy as they age. Family is one of my core values.

Salary Negotiation Tips
Hi Chris, In my experience, i have previously been asked by recruiters to confirm a salary /daily rate prior to interviews, yet only to find after the interview the role is more senior or complex than initially pitched or proposed. In other instances, there were no advertised job descriptions or detailed JD provided. For these cases, how should one negotiate salary? In particular, in order to safeguard oneself and not agree to a rate until the true scope of the role is understood. It is hard when these recruiters often want to lock in a rate prior, and if you don't agree, you don't get an interview.
