CEO or employee energy, which one are you in right now?
I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually means to lead your business… not just run it. And something I shared in this week’s email keeps circling back for me: CEO identity isn’t about how much you do. It’s about how you decide. Most of us built our business from the place of: - ā€œI’ll just do it real quickā€¦ā€ - ā€œI’ll handle itā€¦ā€ - ā€œIt’s fine, I’ll figure it outā€¦ā€ - ā€œI’ll catch up laterā€¦ā€ And suddenly we’re juggling 20 tabs, 6 roles, 4 deadlines, 3 kids, and 1 nervous system trying to hold it all together. So this week, I’d love to bring the conversation here: What part of your business makes you slip into ā€˜employee mode’ instead of ā€˜CEO mode’? Is it: ✨ Saying yes too quickly ✨ Doing everything manually ✨ Not wanting to slow down long enough to decide ✨ Avoiding the thing you know would make everything easier ✨ Always reacting instead of leading There’s no wrong answer, we all have our ā€œthing.ā€ Drop yours below and let’s talk about it. For me, it's saying yes too quickly. Everything looks like an opportunity that I should implement now, and that usually leads to burnout, so pacing myself has become so important if I want to step up into the role of CEO and honour my capacity.
