I want to protect the joy of living in the moment and not be distracted by the what ifs.
Identify a worry that steals my joy.
Name a worry: If I say the "wrong" thing it will cause conflict How it cancels my joy: Avoid speaking up and being 100% honest (in certain situations) 10 min joy ritual + one boundary: >>Joy ritual: Taking a walk >>Boundary: Replacing negative thoughts with positivity. "For as many thinketh in his heart, so is he."
Identify a worry that steals my joy.
Name a worry. I’m afraid I’ll fail. How it cancels my joy. I procrastinate and try and avoid it at all costs. 10 min joy ritual + one boundary. 10 mins of yoga or stretching + a boundary for myself, speak affirmations and kind words to myself.

This is good! I missed tonight's session but I will chime in.
When do you notice me pushing past my limit, even when I should rest?
Here's the response I received to this question... Q: When do you notice me pushing past my limit, even when I should rest? A: Everytime I look at your calendar 😩. So not a specific situation but I think you go above and beyond to support your friends, family, and church. Regardless of how hectic it makes your schedule you find a way to be there for everyone.

It made me pause and look at my calendar, which clearly displayed exhaustion. I've gotten accustomed to being everything for everybody except myself.

The moment I hesitated to rest and say no was YESTERDAY during the Rest & Reset session 🤦🏿‍♀️. So here's the series of events. Kids had Curriculum night at school from 6-7. As soon as we got home I went into my "quiet space" and told the kids they would eat when we were done. Kids are fine noone is complaining. But at ~7:30 I got that urge to run downstairs and heat their dinner up. Their first question was "Is your meeting over?" My response: No. They just kind of look at me and back to watching TV. Instead of taking the time I needed all to myself I felt like I HAD to fix their dinner IMMEDIATELY. The only bothered person was me. The truth is: Everything doesn't need my immediate attention right now. Next steps for me from the survey: EMDR session.
