Have you ever?
Have you ever gone through a difficult season in your life and realized that the people you thought would stand beside you weren't there? Not everyone who disappears does it on purpose. Sometimes people don't know what to say. Sometimes they assume you're doing fine because you never ask for help. I've come to know that absence has a way of leaving a mark. Here's my question: When life gets heavy, do you have a brother you can call without having to explain why you're calling? And just as important: Are you that brother to someone else? Let's talk about it...

Not really. Sometimes I just think I'm too much of a loner for that kind of stuff.

@Marco Avila As a child I was a shy moma's boy, but I guess life has a way of throwing things at you and I suppose some of that has lead me to the life of a loner. Don't get me wrong, I have people I consider friends and aquaintences but nothing like a deep go to person type of relationship. I must say I have lost a lot of the selfishness I had when growing up, but I suppose the selfishness is still lingering as a part of the loner persona. Funny thing is, that I have been married to the same woman for 46 years. So, go figure that I feel like a loner.
