When I was younger I wondered why everyone says Jesus is the only begoten sun of God. If God is all powerful, why couldn't He have another son, if He wanted to? I thought that it was because a second son would make the first that much more trivial and unimportant. The reality is much more deep than that. Here is why John 3:16 says "only begotten son" and why it is a misnomer (information is from Google search): The phrase translates the original Greek word monogenēs. While traditionally translated as "only begotten," modern biblical scholars note that monogenēs literally means "one of a kind" or "unique". In the context of the New Testament (such as in John 3:16), this highlights that Jesus holds a singular status and relationship with God the Father that no other being shares. I have come to understand that Jesus is such a unique part of God, as is the Holy Spirit, that it explains why we are body, spirit, and mind. We were created in his image, like as if God was looking in a mirror. The difference is that we are one dimentional. In essence we are all three parts together until we die, like God's immage in the mirror. God on the other hand is able to seperate as Body, Spirit, and Mind (the Father) and still be connected together. Before Jesus came to the earth as a man, did God, who knows all things, know what it felt like to experience death? Some points to consider: - like Alice going through the looking glass, God sent Jesus into the physical realm but he was still connected to the father in the same way we are. The difference is that He retained his perfect God nature and did not sin as we did through Adam. 2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, and 1 Peter 2:22 - the bible tells us that Jesus died and rose again. In that, though, was the first (and last) time God physically experienced death because of the connection Jesus had with the Father. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, and 1 Thessalonians 4:14 What are your thoughts? Come discuss the things of the spirit and get to know all about the One that created it all at my community called: "To Know Him" What are your thoughts on the following? Sometimes my mind wanders and I think that this time of openness is when God speaks to us. Once I was considering what it means that God is good and that there is no evil found in Him. Then I thought about what happened when God created things and the possibility of evil came into existance with that creation. What did that look like. I feel that God revealed it to me. In an instant, I understood that creation and therefore evil (inperfection) was created as a contrast to God's perfection so that there could be evidence of his existance. Creation is like a bubble that God has made that He can move and shape, like a bubble artist or bubble magician, from the outside. They are also known as bubbleologists. Perhaps you have seen them. Anyway, God in his perfection created this buble, what we call time and space, with which He manipulates things or just lets it be to float in the air as a thing of wonder and beauty. Like that buble, swirling with color and reflection, it seems perfect but will eventually change and end. I noticed yet another instance of how I was searching for something on skool and using a single word search and on the same day I saw a Youtube ad about the same topic. As I was thinking about it, It came to me that it is not necessarily the government that is watching us. It behoves us to consider that it is really the fallen angels wanting to influence us in bad ways. How often have you noticed this phenomenon and blamed it on Big Brother? The truth is that it is not Big Brother, it is more likely nefarious spirits (demons or fallen angels) that want us to become afraid, paranoid and distrustful. There is a real battle going on for our thoughts. What are your thoughts?
