Why I Wrote “Transformation: A Journey of Creating One’s Life Anew”
As a bookworm, I was always inspired by the written word. I read the Webster’s New World Dictionary and the Lexicon Universal Encyclopedia as a young child for fun. Years later in high school, I had a great English teacher who taught my classmates and I about the art of poetry. We were told about the classic and modern poetry authors, in addition to various Poet Laureates. Afterwards, we were given a task to start reading poetry books. Consequently, she gave us a writing assignment to create a new poem for the first time. That was literally my first time writing a poem. Years later, I started writing poetry in college while I enjoyed being in nature. I connected with an English Professor, Mr. Gary Morris, who talked with me about poetry, so I began sharing my poems with him during his office hours. He gave me lots of positive feedback, grammar and syntax information. Years later, I made a decision to become a Poet and a Writer, in March 2025, then in the Fall/Autumn season, a Debut Poetry Book Author, and I haven’t looked back!
