Please Introduce Yourself
One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! Today, I'd like to invite you to take a step back and introduce yourself to the group by answering the following questions: 1. Who are you personally? 2. Who are you professionally? 3. What is something you love doing outside of work? 4. What is something surprising about you? As you open up and make more connections, you will find that not only are people more interested in what you do, but they will also be more interested in helping you make connections with other people they know! 😉 After you introduce yourself, please scroll through the other introductions and add a comment to someone you have something in common with or would like to know more about. 😊 Please add your introduction in the comments below! ⬇️

@Miriam Vincent nice to meet you too, I'm always impressed by cyber security people I think they have the hardest job in IT because it's actually people management But I love learning about the new cutting edge stuff in tech I am getting my hands dirty with all the AI stuff and trying to learn and much as I can about it. I'm also looking to be a part of my teams efforts to use quantum computing in the next few years so I am keeping an eye on that. What about you?

Is it Possible to have fun Failing? 🤔
Have you ever had fun failing? I've been thinking about how we all see that failure is part of growth, and success but nobody talks about making it actually enjoyable or even just less painful. In in Growing our communities and trying to make a living online, we face rejection/failure/setbacks daily, but what if we could gamify it? I fail in games all the time and don't take it personally and can even learn and grow because of the failure. so, why can't I do the same in real life? The Questions: Have you found a way to make failing fun? Has anyone made failure feel like a game rather than a gut punch? What did you do and how could others try it out? Maybe you: - Give yourself "XP points" for rejections - Created a failure Goal reach for a reward? - Turn it into a story you tell later - Something else entirely? I'm researching this because I believe the fear of failure holds more of us back than actual failure ever has. Your insights could help someone break out of their cycle of failure! Drop a comment, even if it's just a kind of failure you wish you could make fun 👇

@Shannon Boyer yeah I find trying to strike the balance between content creation vs. marketing very difficult. I'm trying to figure out how to get feed back on ideas for services and gage interest without overpromising and disappointing or underdelivering on some new ideas that are untested and unrefined

@Kemara Huirama Osborne this is very courageous, I am still scared to be the first but I was often the second, once I saw someone else do it I was willing to go for it. So thank you for clearing the path for some of us

Can Posts and Comments Look and Sound more Confident?
You know that spike of panic when you open Skool, see 47 notifications, and suddenly your amazing post idea feels impossible? I've been there. Multiple times this week, actually. I get excited about sharing something valuable, then I see all those notifications and think "I need to respond to everyone first" and then "how will I have time to create my post" and before I know it... I've closed the app and avoided it for the rest of the day. But yesterday I discovered something that might change everything. I stumbled upon a video by Vinh Giang, a renowned communications coach I highly recommend his work. He was talking about a confidence framework that blew my mind. Here's the key insight: we don't need to feel confident before we look confident - we need to look and sound confident before we feel confident. When we act, look, and sound confident, even our own brain perceives us as more confident. I've experienced this myself - put on a sharp suit? I feel different. Use communication techniques I've practiced? Instant confidence boost. So I started wondering: does this work online too? What does "looking confident" mean when we're just text on a screen? What does "sounding confident" mean when people are reading our words, not hearing our voice? Here's what I think I've figured out so far: Visual Confidence Online: - Posting quickly with authentic emotion (not overthinking every word) - Using GIFs that match your personality - Consistent voice across all your posts and comments - Well-structured longer posts that feel like YOU, not an overly-edited version of you Auditory Confidence Online: - Comments that sound natural, not sterilized - Punctuation that has personality (your style, not grammar perfection) - Taking up space with your ideas instead of apologizing for them I'm going to experiment with these ideas and see what works. I'm going experiment by trying to applying one of these confidence behaviors to each post and comment I make this week.

@Nural Seker they are great I'm still learning how to use them effectively
Oops. 🫣
I learned today that live Skool meetings do not auto-record like Zoom.... My sincerest apologies to anyone who wasn't able to attend and was planning on catching the replay. Here are the highlights: About 20 people were able to pop in and out of the meeting, and it was a great chance to get to know each other! I think it's fair to say that a fun time was had by all (even if there was a slide deck involved)... Reminders: - Please continue to make referrals, but to Skoolers only. The reason for this is to keep out bots and spammers and favor people who already value community and collaboration. - It's not too late to get your name in the draw for the $50 Amazon gift card (limited to areas where Amazon services). For every person you refer, you get one entry into the draw. - It's not too late to post your listing in the classroom! Use the opportunity to share more about yourself and then direct us to either your Skool group or another free or paid offering. Upcoming Opportunities: - Once tiers are in place, listings in the classroom will be made available for tier 2 members, and they will also include a live interview/chat with me where you get to talk about yourself. I will then post the chat in the community and link it to your classroom ad. - Tier 2 members will also have the ability to host a live masterclass/workshop on the calendar where you can teach the group something and then promote something in your business. This is going to be really exciting!!! There was a lot of discussion about what we want the group to look like in the future, and the general consensus was that we want the feed to be collegial and not spammy. That we want to have a reason to come into the community and read the posts. For this reason, please do your best to stick the the posting guidelines outlined in the START HERE pinned post. Affiliate links, social media handles/links, and other referrals should be saved for appropriate theme days and then shared as comments in that post so that they don't clog up the main feed.
