When You Don't Have Enough
Yesterday I posted about paying your bills on time, but sometimes we're short on cash, making it difficult to get that done. Here are a few things you can do if you find yourself low on money when the bills are due.

Good tips
The Cost of Convenience
Convenience can be expensive when it becomes a default setting. Ordering food, having items delivered, or grabbing prepared items may not feel significant in the moment. But when these choices happen often, they quietly shape your finances. Some people plan and budget for this because the convenience is worth the time they get back, but awareness is key. If you aren't aware of how much extra you're spending for the convenience, it's a good idea to make a note of it. It's important to understand where your money is going so you can decide if it still aligns with what matters to you.

The cost of convenience is high, especially door dashing. This is always something I think about before ordering, is it worth it.
Take One Step
You don't have to try and do it all! Choose one thing and commit to taking that one step.

It makes sense, one step gets you closer to your goal
I finally did it!
OMG. Getting started on that was painful. But I did it! I finally sat down and made a simple spreadsheet to track what we are actually paying for my daughter’s room, board, tuition, and fees at college in Boulder Colorado. I had been avoiding those numbers since the very first payment a year and a half ago. Avoiding. Because in my head, the number felt massive. Heavy. Scary. But here is what happened when I actually looked: The real number was smaller than the monster I had created in my mind. And instead of panic, I felt peace. Clarity does that. Numbers are not the enemy. Avoidance is. When we track, we take our power back. If you need a place to start, pick just one area and open a simple spreadsheet: • Groceries for the month • Eating out • Amazon purchases • Subscriptions • Debt payoff progress • Savings rate • Utilities for 3 months Not everything. Just one. Track it. Look at it. Breathe. Most of the time, the story in our head is louder than the reality on paper. And peace lives on paper. What is one area of your finances you have been avoiding that you are ready to look at this week?
I finally did it!

@Sybil Hall - I started with the TV ones, too many and I don't watch that much TV anymore
Let's have some fun! $15,000
If you were handed $15,000 cash today and HAD to spend every penny on YOU (no saving, investing, gifting, buying for others, etc), what would you buy?
