Zombie - The Cranberries
Also "The Capo" what the??? Welcome to another 🎶🎼 head hangs lowly, child is slowly takon... Wait 🫷🏽 no lol... Welcome to another "song tutorial" by yours truly. This one goes out to anyone and everyone, but especially those who wonder about the capo and its importance. I dive into the chords for this song and discuss the logic behind using the capo to make your guitar sound the way you need it for singing along in your voice. We're introducing and using 4 chords. Em, C, G, D. The chords are not an exact match and neither are the lyrics. The important part of this tutorial is how to play this song in a way that sounds right for you and gets you excited to try playing it again, and again. Please let me know that this video landed for you by approaching me in the comments 🙃😜 tag me or whatever you gotta do to get my attention and let me know if this bit rocked for you!

Bad Moon Rising - Rhythm First
Here we go! There will be a part 2 for the chords learning and play along. Thanks for your participation in this week's multi day song review/ lesson geared towards Beginners and Beginnermediate players alike! Voted for by you. "Some people" will hear a song they like and think 🤔 "bet I can play this, it sounds easy" - grab their guitar and go 🤔 wait... How do I even play the rhythm part with my right hand to make it sound like the real song? Lol 😆 🫂 that's me.... I am "some people." If that's you too - like this post 😂🎸 otherwise we'll catch you in the comments where I'll share the rhythm and the chords for anyone who's interested.

@Benjamin Wood thank you will do. I’m just gonna have to bite the bullet and learn to tune instead of going to guitar center I’m just afraid of the string popping lol but yes I will do it.

D,A,G Chords and chord switch timing - tutorial. (Find all of our song tutorials in the "Song Tutorials" category tab, up top) Let me know what you think 🤔💭🤌🏽🎸 Don't need to learn all of the chords again? Start the video at 9:50. That's when I discuss the timing of your chord switches. Don't like reading a bunch? Watch the video! Learning songs can be intimidating for beginners, and that's why I put together this 2 part series on a song that most people could identify within the first 3 sec. Also... This song was voted for by the people here. (Join us for our next vote in the near future) This song in particular has such a curious rhythm! So much so that I made a whole video on that part of it first. So if you're just now familiarizing yourself with this tune for the first time, you may want to get over to the first part of this song tutorial to begin (I'll link that in the comments) I spend almost 10 minutes of this tutorial on how to play the D,A and G Chords. Afterwards I help you understand the right timing for when to switch your chords. Everything takes time and you shouldn't have to feel embarrassed of your abilities... ever lol 😆 🫂 but sometimes we can't help it. That's why this video and many others like it, will exist here for your learning convenience. Ready for you to take on, when you're ready to take it on. Give me advice or give me credit - chat with me in the comments and we'll see you there. Thanks for being here with us at Intermediate Guitar 🎸

Im going to try again I think I should record on second warm up because when I keep going at it like fore 5 min straight I get tired I need to loosen up and go slow so I can get the rhythm so hopefully I get it in the next one.
Which One Do You Choose To Learn?
Which of these songs would you be interested in learning first? In the future we can choose other songs, we could even learn a suggested song from you... This time, I will ask you to choose from the songs I've picked out. I'm attaching 3-4 song/ musical choices... I chose each song for the important skills thar are used in them to create their own vibe, and to showcase the differences in rhythms that go into each song. I'm going to look for your answers and produce these videos in order of attention they get. Which will it be?

This Goes Out To My Beginner/Intermediate Friends
If you’re newer to guitar, or you’ve been playing for years but still can't play across your fretboard because you're missing the fundamentals... I want you to join me. My name is Mike! I am a newly advanced player/student here, looking to share the basics with anyone and everyone learning guitar! You'll find this new space in our "Classroom" section, at the top of the feed. Click in there and scroll until you see the thumbnail Titled: "Beginner Friendly" We’re going to start with the things that make guitar fun: open chords like G, C, D and Em, learning how to switch between them smoothly, developing your strumming and rhythm, and using those skills to start playing songs you actually love. And we're not learning to play them perfectly! Sometimes knowing a few chords and getting the feel of a song is enough to actually PLAY. From there, we can start building the skills that take you further. I will also provide a special roadmap to select players, who are dreaming of advancement, but can't seem to reach it... (you know who you are) I’m creating this as a place where you can share exactly where you’re at. Struggling to switch from G to D? Post it. Can’t get a strumming rhythm to feel right? Show me. We can work through it together. Whether you picked up a guitar six months ago - or - you share a similar story to me, and have been playing for 20+ years but still consider yourself a beginner on the fretboard, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Come learn the fundamentals, build your confidence, and most importantly, start enjoying your guitar in a whole new way! We'll see you here at Intermediate Guitar.
