I’m Very Curious 🤔
Hey everyone! This thought just passed my mind and figured I’d get a conversation going on it. As a wedding photographer, I’ve had moments where the clients have asked for the RAW photos and I know many people have asked if those are “available” before the photos have been taken. My question to ya’ll is why… why Do we think they actually ask for them? Do they have the software to veiw and edit them, do they have friends who edit them or is it something they think they need to ask for because of social media ect. (I could go on about the whys) Besides the obvious understanding that if they don’t like the looks/edits or just want all the photos. That I get but still what are they going to do with them or what do they do with them? Ps: I’ve had very particular client that really wanted them and ended up printing allll the raws inside the grooms suit jacket 😅🙈 Curious on everyone’s ideas, thoughts, knowledge, experience and opinions!

There will always be people who ask—and that’s okay. But as photographers, it’s our responsibility to set clear expectations from the very beginning. I often compare it to going to a tailor. When you receive a finished dress, you’re not seeing all the unfinished seams, loose threads, or the process behind it—you receive a beautifully crafted final piece. Photography is the same. We don’t deliver failed shots or images with poor lighting. What we provide is a carefully selected and refined collection—our vision of the moment, with you in it. That’s the product. That’s the value.

Hi everybody! I’m Yuliia, a portrait and family photographer based in Canada. I’ve been in photography for over 14 years, exploring many different niches along the way. Over time, I’ve found my way to the ones that not only bring me joy but also allow me to build a sustainable business—and they all have one thing in common: people. I truly love serving people and being the one who highlights the beauty every person carries within. For me, photography is about creating meaningful keepsakes for families—something they can hold onto for years to come. I also teach photography through live workshops, where I get to encourage and guide others to believe in themselves and their creative abilities.💖

@Laurel Stacy I believe many of us are taking photos intuitively, you see it and you feel it deep inside your heart. I could stare for minutes at the first photo just because of that penetrating light through the leaves, it makes me feel so warm and I almost smell the freshness in there:)
