When I first started building a community, I quickly realised something that many of you probably already know… Doing it alone is hard. Especially when you’re not in one of the obvious “easy growth” niches like AI, gaming or money. My first community didn’t grow the way I wanted it to, but it gave me something far more valuable — experience and an idea. When I started Skool Events, I already knew one thing… There was no way I could build what I had planned completely on my own. I needed a partner. The funny thing was, when I spoke to people and offered others to be a part of this idea, quite a few told me it wouldn’t work. “No high ticket offer.” “Who would even be interested?” "It’s not going to grow.” The sad thing is, a lot of those people have closed their communities and left skool because they got nowhere. Well… here we are. Skool Events is growing. We have MRR. We have affiliate earnings. And I have a partner who actually approached me because they could see the vision — and they now cover a side of the community that I simply didn’t have the time to focus on. And the best part? The growth has sped up and our MRR is growing. That’s the thing about building communities… sometimes the missing piece isn’t working harder. It’s finding the right people to build alongside. My biggest takeaway? I genuinely believe that for most of us building on Skool, trying to do everything alone is making the journey harder than it needs to be. Find your people, collaborate with other communities, create connections, and don’t overlook the power of a partnership. Sometimes the thing that takes your community to the next level is the person you haven’t met yet. A little while ago I came across a community called 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 that is built around exactly this — helping people find collaborations, partnerships and connections with other community builders. If you’re looking for more growth, wanting to start building MRR, or simply looking for people who understand the journey you’re on, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
