🌱 Curious About Plant-Based Eating… But Not Ready to Live on Lettuce?
I caught up with Marilyn Harris from Plant Based Edition ahead of her very FIRST event , Plant-Based Made Simple: Your Roadmap to Getting Started. And Marilyn isn’t asking you to suddenly throw everything out of the fridge and announce to the family that you’ve gone completely plant-based. 😂 Her approach is much simpler: start with one meal. This event is particularly aimed at adults 40+ who want to eat better, improve their lifestyle or are simply curious about plant-based eating but have no idea where to begin. In our quick chat, Marilyn explains how she’ll take away some of the confusion, answer those “But what on earth am I going to eat?” questions, and give you a simple roadmap you can actually follow. 📅 1 October ⏰ 10am Eastern | 9am Central 🎥Watch my chat with Marilyn below and find out whether this might be the little nudge you need to try something different. No commitment to becoming fully plant-based required. Curiosity will do nicely. 🌱 You can Find out more about Marilyn and what she is up to right here. Join her event here

🏆 THE GREAT EVENT BANNER CHALLENGE
Right, I've been banging on about event banners again. 😂 Over in the Skool Classifieds recently, I wrote about those event graphics where someone has tried to squeeze absolutely EVERYTHING onto one image. The title. The date. The time. The host. Seven bullet points. Three logos. A website address. Their inside leg measurement... Until the whole thing starts looking less like an event banner and more like Where's Wally? So now I'm turning it over to you. If you've got an event coming up, I want you to create a banner that actually does what an event banner is supposed to do... STOP THE SCROLL. Your title should clearly tell people what your event is about. It should be big enough to read easily, with a clean, eye-catching design that doesn't have seventeen different things fighting for attention. You can include your date, time and timezone, your name and a good image, but keep it simple. You don't need to explain your entire event on the banner. That's what your post is for. I've added two examples to this post, one showing how simple and clear an event banner can be, and another showing what happens when we try to tell people absolutely everything before they've even decided whether they're interested. 😂 NOW IT'S YOUR TURN 👀 If you've got an upcoming event that hasn't yet been registered with Skool Events Daily, we're setting you a challenge. Create a brand-new banner, register your event with SED and put what we've been talking about into practice. And we're making this interesting... 🏆 The best event banner will win a prize! Entries close: Thursday 24th September, 5pm New York time Right then, Canva at the ready... or AI Let's see what you've got. And remember, if I need a magnifying glass to read it, you're probably not winning. 😂

I looked at the second image and immediately laughed. Info overload and very overwhelming to an ADHD girlie like me. I definitely appreciate the clean visual with the pertinent information

ARE YOU AN EVENT EXPERT? 👀
And when I say expert… I mean you’ve been around the event block a few times! 😂 We’re looking for people who are well seasoned in the event arena and really know their stuff. Maybe you’ve spent years organising live events. Maybe workshops, conferences, retreats, networking events or exhibitions are your thing. Perhaps you know the technical side inside out. Or maybe your expertise is getting bums on seats, keeping an audience engaged, finding speakers, securing sponsors, promoting events, following up afterwards… or one of the MANY moving parts that go into creating a really good event. Basically, if events are your world, I want to know about you. We’re building out more of our Experts Corner here at Skool Events Daily, and I want to bring in people who have proper experience and something genuinely useful to share with our members. Not theory not something you watched on YouTube last Tuesday. 😂 I’m talking about the things you’ve learnt from actually DOING it, including the things that went brilliantly, the things that went horribly wrong and the lessons you only learn when you’ve been in the trenches yourself. Because there are a lot of people on Skool running events who would LOVE to learn from people who have already been there and done it. So… Are YOU an event expert? Or do you know someone who absolutely should be on my radar? Tell me below what your area of expertise is. 👇
